What started off as a hobby over 20 years ago,  quickly turned into an obsession for both myself and my wife.  We spent many long days ethically mining nearly every stone featured on these pages in the various sapphire deposits of Montana.  We have stones from the famous Gem Mountain,  Eldorado Bar, Spokane Bar and Cottonwood Creek deposits represented here.

These pages are an ongoing work in progress and stones are cut as time from our full-time jobs allow, so check back frequently for new additions!

Unfortunately due to work loads, we are not taking requests for faceting client rough at this time.

Terms of Sale and misc info

Most gems are photographed under 40x magnification with daylight spectrum led lighting so you can see internal structures. While the photos are good, they look far better in hand. Gems I wouldn't give to my wife in a setting are never offered for sale. None of our gems are artificially enhanced. The only treatment they may receive is natural heat to improve clarity which is industry standard. No treatment gems will be highlighted in individual descriptions. We do offer a 3 day inspection from date of delivery so you can buy with confidence. We can accommodate bulk melee orders, just drop us an email at Montanafaceters@Gmail.com with specifics and we can quote. We have thousands of gems not yet listed so inquires are welcome.

We accept major credit cards, money orders, cashier checks and personal checks. However, checks and money orders will delay shipping up to 10 business days while the payment clears our bank. We ship USPS Priority Mail free with purchases of $250 or more. At this time we only accept Domestic US sales.

Gemstones are offered on a per item/lot basis. Weights, sizes, colors and ratings are approximate and shown to help you select the most suitable gem for your needs.
